In December 2017 we opened the Registration for our IOTA trading platform omoku. After less than one month we are delighted to welcome already more than 2000 members on omoku (status in early January 2018). In the following, we summarize what our team has achieved so far and look ahead to further developments in the coming months.

The idea for omoku, which emerged in the course of 2017, was designed from the very beginning to offer the IOTA community the opportunity to exchange IOTA and Fiat money as soon as possible. From the start, we have been looking for ways to keep the fees for our users as low as possible and to be able to offer the exchange of IOTA and Euro in real-time.

What has happened so far?

After the basic concept for omoku was elaborated in summer 2017 and we dealt intensively with the legal issues, we started the development of the platform in September 2017. In parallel, the overall concept has been gradually refined. After the rough planning and first weeks of development, early to mid 2018 became a realistic time frame for the release of our platform, which we communicated to the community.

In December we opened the registration process for interested users and made it clear that we are consistently pushing ahead with our project and adhering to the set timeframe. It was a particular pleasure for us to see the community’s great interest in our platform. In the meantime, omoku already has over 2000 registered users. While our core team has remained stable since the start of the project, we have been able to attract additional associates to support us in various areas and bring in an external perspective. Without the team including our associates and our exceptionally efficient collaboration, it would not have been possible to make such rapid progress, so I would like to take this opportunity to thank the whole team.

Now what’s left for the exchange?

A mandatory prerequisite for the purchase or sale of IOTA with Euro is to verify your identity on omoku. Only in this way can we comply with legal requirements and ensure that our platform is not misused for criminal purposes such as money laundering or terrorist financing. So far, we have not yet opened the verification of identity for our registered users. This will be an important step towards the opening of the IOTA/Euro trade. This step is planned for Q1 2018. If you verify yourself early, you will be able to trade IOTA/Euro immediately on Omoku without any further delay. It goes without saying that we will provide you with detailed information in good time. This leaves us with an important question that we hear from many users.

When can I trade on omoku IOTA/EUR?

In fact, we have received a lot of enquiries in the last few weeks about when omoku IOTA can be bought or sold. We are aiming to make IOTA/Euro trading available to the public in Q2 2018. BETA Trading for invited users could even be opened before that. We apologize for not being able to provide more specific date yet.

Why should I visit omoku before the start?

It would be a pity if you would not visit us until the exchange is launched. First of all, as already mentioned, we will make it possible for you as a registered user to verify yourself on omoku. Furthermore, due to a high demand, we will launch a referral program in Q1 2018 to all registered users. Detailed information will follow.

We are also very happy when you visit us in our slack to discuss directly with our team and the community or if you follow us on your favourite social media channel to make sure you don’t miss any news.

The omoku roadmap in brief

  • The development of our platform started in September 2017.
  • In December 2017 we made the registration available to the public.
  • Over 2000 users had already registered on our platform by the beginning of January 2018.
  • For 2018 we will stick to our communicated schedule. We are planning a first release of the real exchange in Q2 2018. BETA Trading could start before.
  • In Q1 2018, registered users can verify themselves in advance and invite new users to our platform as part of our referral program.

  1. If you are using SharePoint 2013 for develop then you can run it in a 8gb, including domain, sql and visual studio. However, it requires some fine tune:-search service = disable it inside sharepoint. Or you can fine tune to not not search every minute.-noderunner = set to 50mb maximum (check internet how to do that).-Sql server = set to 512mb maximum.-Distributed cache service = disable it or set it to 200mb.If you are developing in a notebook then, most modern notebook has only 2 slot for memories and 16gb memories are quite expensive.btw : in Sharepoint 2013, the workflow for 2013 should be installed separately. MEH.
